Not once. It landed harder than an insult would have. An insult would have meant he mattered.
He wanted the dog to bark. That was the entire idea. He wanted ninety pounds of German Shepherd to lunge so the livestream could be clipped and captioned and turned into a video in which a dangerous animal menaced an innocent young man.
